ANGUS BOWLING ASSOCIATION HENDERSON CHARITY TROPHY
The Henderson Charity Trophy was first played for in 1951 with Dudhope the winners. The charity is supported by all Angus Bowling Association and City of Dundee Bowling Association clubs. The format is a 17 end game, with 2 points for a win, one point for a draw and total shots being counted to determine the winning club. Clubs are drawn to play as individual rinks against a rink from a different club and played at neutral venues to both teams, usually in early September.
To date, 2008, Lochee are the only club to have been victorious on 3 consecutive occasions, 1969,1970 and 1971 a remarkable feat considering the way draw is made and the neutral venues chosen.
