Congratulations to Bob Petrie on winning his second Broughty Singles Club Championship winning the final 21-13 against Iain Dorricott. The game pulsated in the early stages with both players swapping alternate ends and shots consistently until with the score at 13-12 for Bob, he picked up shots to move to 15-12 then 18-13 before closing the game out. The players were presented with their respective trophies and thanked the organisers and supporters for turning out to watch this years final.
Bob's second championship comes 10 years after his first in 2001- having been runner up to Doug Binnie in 2010 and also a runner up in 2003

The Broughty Team unfortunately lost out ot Northfield in thier second game at the National Chmpionshhips held at Ayr - so congratulations and commiserations for reaching that stage of the competition and falling at the second hurdle. Northfield went on to reach the final and finished as runners up

Broughty Seniors won their opening fixture in the Senior FOurs event at the Scottish Bowls National Championships event being held at Ayr, Northfield
