Congratulations to the Broughty Triple of Bill Stewart (Lead) John Fullarton (Second) and Frank Gall (Skip) for winning the 2010 Angus BA Senior Triples Trophy at Carnoustie West End.

Broughty played Barnhill in the final and ran out eventual winners by 15-9 - Commiserations to our friends from local rivals Barnhill and congratulations and commiserations to the winners and runners-up from the other games played

Canmore 11 Broughty 19 - Play Barnhill in the final at Carnoustie West End Thursday 1 July at 6.30pm

Broughty were succesful in achieving promotion to Division 1 of the Angus league after winning 7 games from 9 in Divison 2. Broughty finished as runners up to Monifieth who they join in the top division for next season.

During the 9 weeks Broughty lost away games at Arbroath in the first fixture and Monifieth in week 8. Sandwiched inbetween were victories against Longforgan away, Parkview away, Lochlands home, Muirhead and Birkhill home, Fairfield home, Baxter Park home, and won the final game at home against Kirriemuir to guarantee promotion.

The Broughty pair of Lynn Kinnear and Les Hunter won the Killacky Pairs on Wednesday 23 June with a victory over the Strathmartine pair skipped by J Potts

Broughty have been very successful over the alst few years in this competition and congratulations go to our winning twosome
